I AM statements of The Lord Jesus

The “I AM” sayings of our Lord Jesus Christ has important meaning in the gospel texts because it indicates the Deity of Jesus Christ and He is the person behind  ” I AM” sayings in the Old Testament.

These sayings has been repeated 20 times in the gospel of John, here’s few references:

I AM the Bread of Life

And Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me shall never hunger, and he who believes in Me shall never thirst.
John 6:35

I AM the Light of the World

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
John 8:12

I AM the Door

Then Jesus said to them again, “Most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.
John 10:7

I AM the Good Shepherd

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.
John 10:11

I AM the Resurrection and the Life 

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.

I AM the Way, the Truth, and the Life 

Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

I AM the True Vine

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

I am He

‘Now see that I, even I, am He,
And there is no God besides Me;
I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; Nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.
Deut 32:39

I am First and Last

Who has performed and done it,Calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, the Lord, am the first; And with the last I am He.
Isa 41:4

There is no savior beside Me

I, even I, am the Lord, And besides Me there is no savior.

Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?

2. I am He

You are My witnesses,” says the Lord, “And My servant whom I have chosen, That you may know and believe Me, And understand that I am He. Before Me there was no God formed, Nor shall there be after Me.

3. No one can deliver out of My Hand

Indeed before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it?
