The Everlasting Father? or The Father Of Eternity?

Unitarians claim that Jesus is The Father.

Why? Because in Isaiah he says that child and son will be called the everlasting father

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.  And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

No, Jesus is not the ever-lasting father but The Father of Eternity.

The word used in Hebrew language for the the everlasting father is Abvi-ad which also means the father of eternity but if you don’t speak a Semitic language you’ll not understand the deep meaning behind it. The term “The father of” means “The possessor of” when we say the father of bread we mean the bakery shop or when we say the father of meat we mean the butcher shop etc.

Isaiah 9:6 it says child is born and son is given it and he will be called The Father of Eternity not the everlasting Father if properly translated.

What our Lord Jesus did say?

53 Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 55 For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. 56 He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him. 57 As the living Father sent Me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on Me will live because of Me. 58 This is the bread which came down from heaven—not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this bread will live forever.” John 6:53-58

How is it that He is the Father when he asked the Father to glorify him?

And now, O Father, glorify Me together with Yourself, with the glory which I had with You before the world was.
John 17:5

The Lord Jesus is not The Father.

In Christ,
